All of these questions will be answered in today's video. So whether you're an interested party or just want to learn more about the criminal justice system, stick around and I'll fill you in.

A bail bond is a financial agreement that is used to release a person from jail. The agreement is between the person who is being released and the bail bond company. The company agrees to pay the bail amount if the person fails to appear in court.

When a person is arrested and taken to jail, a bail amount is set. This is the amount of money that must be paid in order for the person to be released from jail. The person can either pay the bail amount themselves, or they can contact a bail bond company.

If a person is arrested and the bail amount is set at $10,000, the bail bondsman will agree to pay the bail amount on behalf of the person. In return, the person will have to pay the bail bond company a non-refundable fee, usually 10% of the bail amount. So in this case, the person would have to pay the bail bond company $1,000.
